Digital Battery Powered Mass Flow Meter for Gases now available with 3 Contact Alarm Module
Swiss MEMS sensor mass flow manufacturer and leading gas flow company Vögtlin Instruments announces the availability of a 3 contact alarm module with remote alarm reset for the red-y compact 2 series gas mass flow meter.
The economically priced red-y compact 2 mass flow meter has proven itself in the market for scientific gas flow measurements from 0-10 sccm up to 480 slpm. Initially released in 2001, it was completely re-engineered the last year. It now operates on one single AA battery for up to 6 months, alternatively or on a Micro-USB power supply or optionally 12…30 Vdc on permanent supply.
Without connecting the unit to a computer, the user can set more than 20 flow units and adjust almost 50 variables through the convenient touch screen. The unit can be supplied with up to 3 different gases or gas mixtures, has a dynamic range of up to 100 : 1 and an accuracy of ±1% of full scale.
The new alarm module, which can also be retrofitted to red-y compact 2 devices already in the field, offers:
» 3 alarm contacts (relays that can switch up to 1 amp, 30 Vdc)
» 2 optical isolated input channels (to optionally reset an alarm remotely)
» Every alarm contact separately settable as high, low, window or totalizer alarm
» Hysteresis, delay and alarm duration time all customer configurable
