VULKAN celebrates its 125th anniversary
VULKAN has every reason to celebrate: on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the company the new administrative building was officially opened on the weekend at the headquarters in Herne. In the presence of the President of the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet, Jürgen Fiege, and Mayor Horst Schiereck President Sebastian Hackforth and CEO Dr. Andreas Boehme cut through the obligatory band. After the inauguration, about 50 customers and representatives of all foreign subsidiaries followed a detailed presentation of the plant and the VULKAN technology.
On Saturday, the celebrations had a more familiar atmosphere. Around 1,400 guests, employees and their families were invited to a daytime family festival on the factory premises. Besides Bratwurst, bouncy castle and live music by an employee band the VULKAN employees had the opportunity to show their relatives their work places in the new building or plant. The conclusion of the festivities was a glittering party in the evening.
