VULKAN Group moves to new headquarters

The worldwide operating family enterprise VULKAN completed the construction of its new head office in Herne/Germany. After a construction period of 14 month about 180 employees moved to the new building last week. For the first time the employees of all VULKAN companies are united under one roof. To date, the employees of the group were located in different buildings on the factory premises.

Thus, a primary goal of the company management has been reached: „We wanted to create a building that not only meets the latest technical standards, but also continues to improve communication, working environment and efficiency in the company", explains Sebastian Hackforth, president of the group.

The result is approximately 7,300 square meters of office space on three floors. The building is made transparent by large expanses of glass and has two courtyards. The new building was planned and implemented by the renowned Düsseldorf architects RKW.

"We are pleased about the completion of the project according to schedule and the first enthusiastic reactions of our employees. This is a milestone in the long history of our company and a commitment to the location of the Group's administrative headquarters in Herne," said Sebastian Hackforth.

The official inauguration of the new building will be held in September when the company celebrates its 125th anniversary.
