VULKAN India takes part in VDMA summit

Addressing the audience as a panelist, Mr. Rajesh Mishra narrated the success story of VULKAN India in brief.

VTI is a member of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) in India. The sixth VDMA Mechanical Engineering Summit, an annual event of the federation, was recently held on 8 September 2017 in Bangalore. This year’s summit was combined with the 125th anniversary of VDMA - with a participation of more than 220 delegates the event was a grand affair.

The summit was inaugurated by Mr. R.V. Deshpande, Minister for Large & Medium Industries & Infrastructure Development, and Mrs. Margit Hellwig-Boette, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangalore. Various useful and informative technical presentations by distinguished speakers from Deloitte, HSBC, Siemens, Adani Ports, Festo India, BDB India and other institutions were the core content of that event.

The summit’s highlight was a panel discussion called ‘Coping with Growth and Overcoming challenges in Manufacturing’ with following personalities:

 Mr. Marc Jarrault, Managing Director, Lapp India

 Mr. Georg Graf, CEO, Freudenberg Regional Corporate Centre

 Mr. Nitin Vyas, Managing Director, Beumer India

 Mr. Sunil K Gupta, CEO and Managing Director, KION India

 Mr. Rajesh Mishra, Managing Director, VULKAN Technologies

It was an interactive session of 90 minutes where the panelists expressed their views and experiences about different topics encompassing the subject matter.

Addressing the audience as a panelist, Mr. Rajesh Mishra narrated the success story of VULKAN India in brief. He attributed this success to the ever-encouraging support from the Hackforth Group and efforts of the company’s loyal employees. He also revealed the future expansion programs of VULKAN India. During the discussion he spoke about various challenges faced by the manufacturing company and the steps taken by VULKAN to overcome these challenges.

He touched all the dimensions of the topic including technology adoption, automation, digitization, industry 4.0, GST impact, governmental policies and the need for industry collaboration to implement them successfully. He also answered some of the delicate questions asked by the moderator Mr. Rajesh Nath (MD, VDMA) and the prominent audience around the topic.

This event was a good platform for VTI to reach out to the large number of reputed German engineering companies from all over India – and to promote the global brand VULKAN.
