The new ALUSTAR designed and made by Walmag Magnetics combines reasonable price of a permanent circular chuck with advantages of electromagnet. The chuck has a longer lifespan and allows it to machine heavier workpieces. How?

The so called Variable Force switch allows the machine operator to pre-switch the chucks clamping force fluently to say 20%, centralise the workpiece, switch to 100% clamping force and start machining. So you get the atvantage of a continuous power regulation which up to now provided only electromagnets, but without the need of expensive electroinstalation.

Also the pole plate of this chuck is 29,5 mm high, which is 1/3 more than a standard Neostar. That gives you 1/3 more space to re-gring this chuck´s poleplate after it gets rough, giving it longer lifespan.

The body of new Neostar Alu is made of aluminimum. That means that even with higher steel poleplate the chuck is lighter. And thebigger the chuck, the lighter compared to standard steel chuck. That means that on the same machine and the same chuck diameter you can work on up to 25% heavier workpieces.

With optional T-slots and pole extensions you get all the advantages of fast workholding – less vibrations, no damage to workpiece – as well as the comfort of 5 side machining.
