How beauty brands are replacing boxes and bubble wrap with paper padded mailers
A more compact protective solution for small beauty and personal care products
Small beauty and personal care products need protection during e-commerce delivery, but they do not always require a box, plastic bubble wrap or additional filling materials.
This was the challenge faced by Danish shaving brand Barberklingen. Before adopting WaveBag, the company mainly shipped razors, blades and accessories in boxes with filling materials or traditional plastic padded mailers. The project started with neutral WaveBags and, after successful testing, moved to customized flexographic printing. The solution was later extended to Elome, its female shaving brand, with dedicated packaging matching its visual identity.
Since 2023, Barberklingen has ordered 780,000 WaveBags.
The same need can be found across the wider beauty and personal care market. More than 1,269,600 WaveBags have been produced for Matas, one of Denmark's leading beauty and personal care retailers.
These applications show how a compact paper padded mailer can help beauty brands protect small products while reducing their reliance on bulky boxes, filling materials and traditional plastic padded envelopes. WaveBag can also be customized, allowing the shipping packaging to remain consistent with the brand identity.
