Inductive sensors ISZL - the economical solution for wear-free measurements

With the ISZL series, WayCon Positionsmesstechnik GmbH is expanding its portfolio in the field of inductive sensors. Typical applications of the high-resolution (up to 0.01 mm) sensors include absolute distance measurements, thickness measurements, sag and deformation controls, linear displacement measurements, position controls, centering monitoring (diameter and eccentricity measurements), and unbalance measurements.

The inductive sensors are suitable for measurements on metallic surfaces such as steel, aluminium, brass, or similar.

Thanks to non-contact operation via magnetic field, the sensors are wear-free and operate reliably, even in dirty environments, with excellent repeatability. Depending on the version, measuring ranges of up to 6 mm, 8 mm, or 24 mm are possible and adjustable via teach function. The sensors have an impressive short response time of 10 ms and detect even the smallest changes in position.

The inexpensive sensors of the ISZL series are small in design with a length of only 60 mm, are easy to mount due to their cylindrical shape with external thread and can be quickly put into operation. Thanks to the high protection class IP67, the sensors are suitable for applications in a wide range of environments with temperatures between -25 °C and +75 °C. The sensors transmit a direct analog signal (4...20 mA, 0...10 V) via a 5-pole M12 connector for further processing.
