Fill H2 tanks quickly and safely with proven WEH connection technology

Screw connections are a thing of the past: When filling hydrogen tanks, they cost valuable time, require experience, and come with safety risks.

With its new quick connector for filling H2 tanks, WEH introduces a revolutionary connection technology to the hydrogen
sector – simple, safe, and proven in real-world applications.

Time pressure and safety requirements in hydrogen logistics
Hydrogen as an energy carrier is becoming increasingly important – especially in power generation (electrolysis, steam reforming), energy supply, mobility
(refueling), and numerous industrial applications. A key part of this infrastructure is the fast and safe filling of hydrogen tanks, such as tube trailers, transport
containers, or mobile refueling units.

In practice, the connection to these containers is often made using traditional tube fittings or quick coupling systems with upstream adapters. This results in
significant time expenditure, potential sources of error, and considerable training needs for operating personnel. The demand for simpler, faster, and at the same time safer connection solutions is growing.

The new connection solution for H2 tanks
With the new TW850-S60 H2 Quick Connector, WEH has developed a user-friendly, reliable, and process-safe alternative to existing solutions. The Filling Connector
combines over five decades of engineering expertise in connection technology with deep hydrogen know-how – a combination found only at WEH.

This connector enables a connection to hydrogen tanks in just one second – toolfree, without manual screwing, and equipped with a defined locking mechanism.
The sealing is pressure-assisted: only minimal force is required for the locking process, while still ensuring excellent leak-tightness even at very high operating
pressures.

Versatile – just like your requirements
Whether for filling mobile trailers, hydrogen hubs at municipal utilities and energy providers, cylinder filling facilities, or mobile refuelling and supply units – WEH®
quick connectors can be adapted flexibly to different applications and connection variants.
Modular, robust, and designed for high cycle frequencies – fully aligned with the needs of a future-proof hydrogen infrastructure.

Key advantages of the TW850 H2 Quick Connector:
• No thread wear: Tool-free connection without stressing the thread – ideal for long-lasting reliability in high-frequency use.
• Fast and simple: Tool-free connection in just 1 second – saving time and minimizing downtime.
• Dual safety: Pressure-assisted locking and an integrated sleeve safety device prevent unintentional release during operation.
• High efficiency: Large, continuous nominal widths enable rapid filling even of large tanks.
• Suitable for high pressure: Designed for operating pressures up to 530 bar – ideal for demanding H2 applications.
• Bi-directional use: Suitable for both filling and venting.
• Robust & compatible: Built for harsh operating conditions, compatible with common H2 interfaces.
• Complete system available: On request supplied as a fully mounted and pressure-tested set with hose and breakaway protection.
• 100% tested: Every unit is leak-tested – ensuring maximum process safety in your system

A connector with a big impact
The WEH® TW850-S60 H2 sets a new standard in the hydrogen industry: efficient to handle, safe in operation, and versatile in application. Based on decades of
proven WEH® quick connector technology, it replaces manual screw connections entirely.
