New Range of Thermostats Improves Performance for Refrigeration and Heating Applications

For simple thermostat and heating or cooling requirements the versatile ET2011 digital thermostat is available. The thermostat is easily programmable for a fast setup and has a clear 4-digit display for good visibility.

Key benefits include the inbuilt PID self-tuning, a soft start function, a choice of input options for thermocouples of PT100 sensors as well as the ability to assign the relay or SSR output as the main control output. Users will also benefit from the fast installation and release of the device through the well designed, yet simple panel clamp.

The range also includes three EDT defrost thermostats. These devices are most suitable for use in refrigeration applications which require a defrost function. The flexible devices provide a variety of options including choices of outputs for compressor defrost or fan control. Different defrost cycles can include; compressor shutdown, electric or hot gas defrost cycles. Inputs can include up to two NTC thermistor sensor inputs as well as an option for an external digital input to trigger a defrost event.

For the EDT defrost thermostats a “CAL-Key” is available. This enables configuration settings to be cloned and copied to additional instruments, providing a considerable time saving when configuring multiple instruments as well as reducing downtime. Other benefits include an RS485 communication option for process monitoring and reporting and a real-time clock (RTC) to enable programming for a specific time of day.

The well-designed, attractive CAL thermostat range is ideal for use in a range of applications such as refrigeration equipment, vehicle chillers, ovens and fryers.
