Gas mixer, easy to retrofit - Upgrade for laser cutting systems

Anyone who wants to utilise the full potential of their laser cutting system relies on gas mixtures as cutting gases. WITT presents an innovative solution for increasing the performance of existing laser cutting systems: laser gas mixers.

Gas mixtures for optimum cutting results

A specific gas mixture of nitrogen and oxygen combines the advantages of both gases and significantly improves the cutting quality. Particularly in the medium and thick sheet metal range, gas mixtures enable fast and precise cuts that are virtually oxide and burr-free. This increases efficiency, minimises reworking and reduces production costs. This process is suitable for a wide range of materials such as steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Perfect gas mixtures for retrofitting

Laser gas mixers from WITT offer a flexible solution to retrofit onto existing laser cutting systems. The infinitely adjustable mixing ratios allow the gas supply to be optimally adapted to the respective cutting requirements. The laser model series offers gas mixers with a maximum output of up to 438 Nm³/h at an inlet pressure of up to 40 bar. An integrated constant pressure control ensures a stable gas supply to the cutting process even with pressure fluctuations in the gas inlet. The advanced mixing technology ensures consistently high gas quality and is designed for high inlet pressure ranges.

Flexible control and integration

Retrofitting with a WITT gas mixer is simple, for a large number of different laser cutting systems. Depending on the model, the mixer is operated mechanically via a rotary valve or electronically via a touch display. The electronic versions offer various interfaces, e.g. Ethernet, RS232, 4-20mA or OPC-UA. This also enables control via external systems and complete integration into existing systems.

Maximum process reliability

To ensure reliable operation, WITT gas mixers have numerous protective mechanisms and options, including inlet pressure monitoring, O2 gas analysis, temperature monitoring, digital pressure display as well as memory and acknowledgement functions for maximum transparency and control. Warning messages in the event of deviations are displayed and audible, and the system can be switched off automatically in critical cases.
