WPT Power® Corporation’s Hydraulic Pump Drives Broaden an Already Extensive PTO Product Line

Wichita Falls, TX July 13, 2015 – WPT Power Corporation’s Hydraulic Pump Drives allows increased command of horsepower, torque, mounting options and more. The WPT Power Pump Drives (PPD) in conjunction with WPT’s Power Take-Offs provide an extensive range of options for engine driven applications with durability and performance. The PPDs also expands WPT Power’s ability to work with customers within those applications in meeting their exact requirements.

With Tier 4 Final EPA regulations in effect, many engine manufacturers have eliminated or reduced the amount of load available from the front of the engine. The Power Pump Drives are an ideal solution for this type of situation.

The Power Pump Drives are available for indirect or auxiliary drives, which make them suitable for off highway, marine, and mobile equipment, including, but not limited to, wood chippers, road working machines, rock crushers, grinders, and fishing vessels.

The Power Pump Drive mounts between the engine and the rugged WPT Power Take-Offs and provides for multiple live or clutched pumps. The pump drive is self-contained and does not require external lubrication or pumps. Internal heat exchangers can be added where required and a variety of options, including PTO clutches, are available.

The WPT Power Pump Drives are available in four different sizes with maximum torque capacities from 413 lb-ft [560 Nm] through 4650 lb-ft [6300 Nm] and operating speeds from 2,100 rpm to 3,000 rpm. All units mount to standard SAE housings and the largest units provide up to 8 pump mounting faces. All Power Pump Drives come standard with flexible couplings on the input side for torsional dampening.
