Flexible Feeder + Robot Automatic Picking and Feeding Solution for Irregular-Part Automation

flexible feeder, robotic flexible feeder, automatic feeding solution for irregular parts

With the rapid development of industrial-automation technology, the demand for all kinds of complex, irregular parts is growing every day. Manual assembly of such parts is inefficient, labor-intensive and difficult to manage. To solve the urgent problems of loading irregular parts into fixtures, Danikor has innovated beyond the traditional vibratory-bowl feeder and developed a new flexible-vibratory-bowl automatic-feeding process. The solution increases assembly efficiency and product quality while reducing cost. A single bowl—or a small number of bowls—can replace most of the manual operations on an irregular-part assembly line.

Danikor’s flexible vibratory bowl is a highly versatile feeder designed for automatic loading of irregular parts. Coupled with a vision-positioning system and a picking robot, it can grab parts from any angle. The bowl supports dual-station picking, allowing parts to be picked from two positions. This dual-station design saves space and cuts production cost. A variety of gripper types ensure accurate picking, which in turn improves the precision of downstream processes. The feeder offers high speed, high accuracy, high yield, broad compatibility, and stable, reliable operation, and is already widely used in automotive, consumer-electronics, new-energy, and defense industries. Because many parts are irregular or delicate and easily damaged, their surfaces must be handled gently—making flexible production essential.

Key Components:

Flexible vibratory-bowl host and picking robot

Vision-positioning system

Part-feature detection

Using proprietary voice-coil-motor control technology, Danikor drives four voice-coil motors simultaneously, enabling parts inside the bowl to move, gather, scatter, or flip in any direction. Eleven motion patterns are pre-installed, and motions can be combined freely according to user needs. Intermittent vibration reduces the chance of surface scratches. The system provides:

4× digital inputs and 4× outputs

Serial, Ethernet, and linear-vibrator-driver interfaces

Two external lighting-control inputs

Standard RJ45 / RS232 / RS485 and GPIO

Rich peripheral ports for diverse applications

Built-in lighting plus two external lighting outputs for easy addition of extra illumination

Danikor’s flexible vibratory bowl solves the feeding problems of ultra-thin, ultra-small, irregular, or feature-less parts. Thanks to its high universality, it is ideal for production scenarios with frequent product change-overs and short life-cycles.
