Grey pumps also with ATEX certification

Zenit can now supply the range of Grey submersible pumps also with ATEX (ATmosphere EXplosive) certification, in compliance with European Directive 2014/34/EU

Zenit can now supply the range of Grey submersible pumps also with ATEX (ATmosphere EXplosive) certification, in compliance with European Directive 2014/34/EU and the new Harmonised Standards EN ISO 80079-36 and 37 that from 31/10/2019 will replace EN 13463 parts 1 and 8 and introduce new procedures for determining the conformity of non-electrical parts of the equipment.

The marking string of the non-electrical part is now identified only by the letters "Ex h" regardless of the adopted protection type (constructional safety ''Ex c'', control of ignition sources ''Ex b'', liquid immersion ''Ex k''). The equipment protection level (EPL) must be identified as for the electrical part.

The new EN ISO 80079 standards do not change the past certification principles according to EN 13463, but the equipment still requires a new certification according to the new standards to be fully compliant with the new ATEX directive.

The new Grey series was created with the aim of renewing the offer with efficient and reliable products with a view to rationalising the range. Hydraulics and motors have been complete redesigned to ensure excellent performance, high energy efficiency and exceptional versatility in full compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, also in explosion risk environments.
