New options for Cedrat Technologies APA and PPA Piezo Actuators
Encapsulation and ECS sensor integration
Encapsulation option:
To address demanding applications with harsh environment and/or continuous operation requirements, Cedrat Technologies introduces the Encapsulation option, available for both APA and PPA piezo actuators. The Encapsulation option isolates the actuator from the environment (dust, particles, liquids, etc..) and dramatically improves the cooling of the ceramics. For example an encapsulated PPA80L (PPA80L-E) was able to operate continuously at 230Hz at full stroke.
ECS option :
In addition the existing Strain Gauges option, Cedrat Technologies now offers the ECS option for its APA actuators. These compact Eddy Current Sensors previously developed by CTEC are integrated directly to the APA shell for a direct measurement in the displacement axis and with an even better precision.
