AGME tube end forming machine to assemble links to tubes

AGME designs and manufactures special purpose machines to assemble links to tubes by tube end forming processes. This technology consists of deforming the tube ends with the aid of AGME hydraulic presses.

The process starts when two links are loaded manually on a special fixture. Then there is a pre-centring and mooring of the tube. When the forming process is about to start a tube diameter calibration is performed.

After this, two hydraulic units advance and push the tube from both sides and transport the links. Then one ring is formed on one tube end. Then the fixture is back to its initial position and the second ring is formed when the tool advances to a second position. The rings are performed thanks to the combination of the pressure and the available space within a specific mould with cavities.

This tube end forming machine has a grease dosing system to grease the tube every certain number of cycles, a tube marking system and an automatic unloading station of OK and NOK parts.

In this way, in one single machine the links and tube assembly is performed in a fast and efficient way, using the tube end forming technology.
