AGRIMAC targets the public works sector in France with its trucks
The Spanish company AGRIMAC, which originally specialized in agricultural equipment, has diversified and is seeking new growth in France, particularly with its rough-terrain forklifts, in the construction and material handling sectors.
A family-owned SME based in the Spanish Basque Country and founded in 1958, Agrimac is now looking to
strengthen the development of its forklifts and dumpers on the French market.
For just over a year, it has been building a network of dealers with different
profiles: experts in material handling or construction. "We have been expanding rapidly in
France since the end of 2023," explains Luise Gonzalez, Sales Area Manager. We are looking for
dealers who are experts in material handling and/or construction, as Agrimac offers a
complementary range that enables them to reach new targets. This network helps us
develop our brand, linking it with those of our partners, but also to obtain
efficient after-sales service spread throughout France, which is very important in any
development."
Since the 1990s, the company, which originally specialized in agricultural equipment such as
rotary tillers and small tractors, has diversified with the acquisition of a manufacturer of
construction machinery. It has since developed a whole range of dumpers and
all-terrain forklifts, which are distributed worldwide. Its main markets today
are Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, and it is expanding its
presence in Latin America.
9 models
The range includes 9 models of all-terrain forklifts, with capacities ranging from 1.2 to 3.5 tons. These
forklifts have the advantage of being available at very short notice (4 to 12 weeks,
depending on the configuration) and are designed with high-end components:
Kubota, Perkins, or Kohler engines, Linde pumps, and Poclain in-wheel motors. The latest additions
to the range are the two new models, the TW25-KX and TW35, with capacities ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 tons.
The former is intended more for rental and construction applications, as it does not
feature a particulate filter. The second has been developed more for industries where power
and superior load capacity are required, such as waste disposal sites and scrapyards.
"These two machines are equipped with parallel hydraulic distribution, which allows us to
improve the machine's performance. In addition, they have a disengageable 4x4 system
and a differential lock that allows traction in difficult situations
(grades of more than 35%)," Mr. Gonzalez points out.
The team, accompanied by its regional dealer Barthélémy Manutention, and the range
will be on display at the Midi Mat trade show. Agrimac will be presenting two models there. A TW17 truck
(1.7-ton capacity), without FAP, which stands out for its higher ground clearance and
extreme compactness for its market segment. Cab options: standard, fruit picker (
/\) shaped, or buggy (<2m for garages, greenhouses, etc.). The DW35 dumper, without FAP, is the
only 3.5 dumper on the market without FAP with in-wheel motors.
