From agriculture to public works and material handling
Difficult times can also be turned to advantage. The family-owned company Agrimac is one of those businesses that knows how to bounce back in order to survive and provide effective solutions to its customers. With a unique range of handling trucks an
AGRIMAC was founded in 1958. “Initially, it offered rotary tillers and small tractors, then it acquired the commercial division of a French company that manufactured all-terrain forklifts and dumpers.” The company enjoyed strong growth until 2008, when it was hit hard by the economic crisis. “The construction industry in the country fell by 90% and the agricultural sector by 70%. We had to think about a new way of operating. We started by withdrawing the agricultural range.”
Then, in 2016, the company revamped its management system, reducing its workforce from 250 to 30 people. “Previously, we did all the construction of our machines ourselves, including machining parts and gears. Now we only do the design and assembly, and we work with trusted partners for the other parts,” says Luise González, Export and Marketing Director.
Another important partner for Agrimac is its sales network. “In France, we rely on a network of around 20 distributors that we have selected for the quality of their after-sales service.”

An all-terrain range
The company now offers a range of all-terrain carts and dumpers. “Among the advantages, they have a Kubota engine and do not require a particulate filter. All our machines are simple and robust with no on-board electronics.” Another advantage is that the dumper weighs 2,500 kg, which makes it easy to move around on construction sites. And the entire range is available within a very short time frame of 4 to 12 weeks. The range will be further expanded in the coming months with an electric all-terrain forklift truck weighing around 1.6 tons.
This range can be discovered at Le Dig Tour in Lyon alongside the distributor ProManutention, another family-owned company with which the manufacturer shares values. This event will be an opportunity to discover the 2.5-ton all-terrain truck, the TW25KX, and the 3.5-ton dumper, the DW35. Both are FAP-free. They are equipped with a 25 hp Kubota V1505 engine, a Linde hydrostatic pump, and Poclain hydraulic motors.
