The Progress® EMC Ex easyCONNECT cable gland with integrated cable clamp offers increased safety and reliability (Ex e II) and ensures full control during installation, compensating for tolerances in shield thickness in achieving a strong shield grip. The spring system facilitates good and reliable shield contact, for both partially stripped cables and fully exposed cable shields.
To prevent cables in areas of explosive atmosphere from being pulled out, they should, according to EN 60079, be fixed no more than 300 mm from the device. This requirement is difficult to meet where space is tight. Thanks to its integrated cable clamp, this new member of the Progress® EMC product family ensures optimum, standard-compliant strain relief in the smallest of spaces.
