As in many industrial sectors, mould and tool cleaning is of utmost importance in various foundries. Especially the optimal cleaning of ingot moulds and core boxes is particularly important, as this not only increases the quality, but also optimizes productivity and costs. ASCO has specialized in the innovative cleaning process especially for foundries.
The ASCO dry ice blasting process offers the possibility, as before, to clean dismantled moulds in cabins or to carry out the cleaning directly on the still installed and hot mould. Many moulders use the second option to avoid costly production downtime and to achieve higher quality through more regular cleaning. The moulds are not damaged by the non-abrasive blasting media.
