UNIQUE, CLEAN AND ECONOMICAL – INTRODUCING THE NEW MOTORISED VALVE BY ASCO Numatics

Compared with other models on the market – in particular quarter turn valves – for

identical applications, the 290 motorised valve provides:

 A better response time: 10 seconds for a quarter turn valve)

 A small size with its operator  67 mm: 40 to 200% smaller footprint with an identical nominal diameter and low weight (5 to 10 times lighter)

 Flexibility if there is a power cut:

 if the valve is closed it stays closed

 if the valve is open it stays open

 if it is closing or opening it stays in position

 there is an optional "fail close" function: if there is a power cut the valve closes

 Auto-adjustment and auto-initialisation on first use or whenever power is restored

 Long service life: ~1 million cycles/year compared to 250,000 to 1,000,000 cycles/year

 Low consumption: just 12 W while the valve is opening/closing, compared to 20 to 55 W, and importantly 0 W for holding

 360° flashing or constant LED indication for monitoring valve movements and states

 No need for a compressor, filter or barrel for easier commissioning and maintenance

The motorised valve was developed to transport all types of fluid, including aggressive fluids. It meets the needs of a wide range of processes and monitoring systems (water networks and water treatment, heating, car washes, hydrotherapy, spraying in agriculture, bottling, etc).

It is suitable for indoor and outdoor installation without the need for a separateenclosure thanks to its IP65 protection and the materials used: AISI 316L stainless steel valve body, PBT cable gland with 30% glass fibre, AISI 303 stainless steel rod, NBR cable gland seal, wiper and poppet seal. In the optional version for aggressive fluids (subject to chemical compatibility): 316L rod and FPM poppet seal.

Piloting can also be made much easier with the I/O modules of the ASCO Numatics disctribution islands.
