Precision vs accuracy - common mistake
A common mistake of interchange use of the words "precision" and "accuracy"
A common mistake in industry nomenclature is to use the words "precision" and "accuracy" interchangeably. It is worth knowing the difference between the two - both attributes are inherent terms related to synchronization, which in turn is based on the correctness of the results and their reading.
Precision indicates the degree of agreement between results derived from the same value. High precision will consistently provide similar results, but not necessarily close to the benchmark value.
Accuracy indicates the degree of agreement between the obtained value and the actual or standard value. High accuracy means that for the same input data, the results obtained are close to the reference values, but not necessarily close to each other.
