Green screening with CDS 10 Screening bucket

The green roof revolution: how the CDS 10 makes the creation of vegetated roofs faster and more sustainable

In Northern Europe, vegetation-covered roofs have been an established reality for decades. In Italy, however, this concept has only recently started to spread, and for many, it still represents an innovative and rather unusual solution.

However, the installation of a layer of soil and plants on roofs offers numerous benefits, the main one being the regulation of the building’s internal temperature.

During the cold months, a green roof acts as a barrier against the cold, offering thermal insulation comparable to synthetic materials, but with a much lower environmental impact. During hot periods, on the other hand, it helps to keep the interior of the building cool, thanks to the evaporation of water contained in the soil.

In addition, a green roof also functions as an acoustic isolator, reducing external noise. This type of solution increases the value of the property due to its sustainability, energy efficiency, and the aesthetic improvement it brings.

But how does the screening bucket fit into all this? The CDS 10 screening bucket was used for precisely this purpose. Thanks to its high productivity, it was possible to screen all the earth needed to cover an area of 1000 square meters of a shed with an 8 cm layer in just a few hours. With the possibility of choosing the space between the discs according to the desired result from a minimum of 16 mm to a maximum of 60 mm, the CDS screening bucket proves to be maneuverable and suitable for excavators from 5 to 8 tons.

Efficiency, customization, versatility, and sustainability, are four adjectives that when applied to the CDS screening bucket turn into innovative solutions for green building, guaranteeing excellent and environmentally friendly results.
