In response to the processing needs of high-end watch precision parts, Conprofe’s R&D team focused on introducing two featured machine tools — the Ultrasonic Engraving and Milling Center and the Lightweight Vertical 5-Axis Machining Center — to the Luthy Machines team during this training session. They also shared technical highlights, optimal application scenarios, equipment operation methods, and maintenance knowledge of different models, helping the Luthy Machines team gain a deeper understanding of the machine tools, enabling them to provide more professional services to local customers in Switzerland.

Ultrasonic Engraving and Milling Center Arrived at Swiss Site

Thanks to the close collaboration over the past three years, Conprofe Ultrasonic Engraving and Milling Center series has been shipped to Switzerland multiple times. The Luthy Machines team reported that the machine tool delivers outstanding performance, leveraging its ultrasonic capacity, high spindle speed, compact size, and versatility. It demonstrates unique advantages in high-gloss finishing and micro-hole drilling of hard-brittle materials and small composite parts. Not only has it significantly improved the machining efficiency of precision watch parts such as movements, dials, spring barrels, and scales, but it has also enhanced workpiece surface quality while reducing recycling costs for precious metal scraps like gold. This has brought substantial economic benefits to Conprofe’s global customers.

Conprofe’s next-gen Lightweight Vertical 5-Axis Machining Center series adopts a compact ultra-small five-axis (table diameter: 100mm) structural design, with precision verified by Renishaw laser interferometers. Weighing only 1,300kg, it occupies 73.5% less footprints compared to conventional five-axis machines and can be equipped with an automatic loading/unloading system, making it particularly suitable for batch production of precision small parts. The Luthy Machines team recognizes the immense market potential of this machine tool series and has proposed on-site collaboration for customized modifications and upgrades. Additionally, during the training of part-level and unit-level products, the Luthy Machines team gained insights into Conprofe’s products designed for efficient and high-quality small-part machining. These include Solid PCD Tools, Shrink-Fit Tool Holders and Shrink-Fit Unit, and Ultrasonic Amplitude Measuring Devices.

On-Site Signing Ceremony Ushers in New Chapter of Strategic Partnership

On May 1st, a grand signing ceremony was held at Conprofe’s headquarters, marking a milestone in the strategic collaboration between Conprofe and Luthy Machines SA. The agreement was signed by Mr. Bertino Checola, CEO of Luthy Machines, and Ms. Esther Hu, Senior Sales Director of Conprofe, officially elevating their partnership to new heights.
