High-Quality & Long-Stable Water Quality Monitoring Case in a Provincial Tap Water Plant
1. Project Background
A large provincial-level tap water plant serves 800,000 residents in 3 urban areas (with a daily water supply of 120,000 tons). It needs to control residual chlorine (0.3~4mg/L) and pH (6.5~8.5) in accordance with GB 5749-2022. The original traditional equipment had pain points: the residual chlorine sensor required monthly reagent replacement and biweekly calibration, the pH sensor had poor anti-interference performance, and data was fragmented and difficult to link. Therefore, Dabeco's independently developed DAW2407 residual chlorine sensor, DAW2507 pH sensor, and W782 dual-parameter analyzer were selected.

(2) System Implementation
Sensors were installed in the post-filtration water main pipe, and W782 was installed in the central control room; DAW2507 was calibrated with two points, and alarm thresholds for residual chlorine (0.3~1.0mg/L) and pH (6.8~8.2) were set to link with chemical dosing pumps.
3. Application Effects
Water quality: Residual chlorine fluctuation range 0.4~0.8mg/L (100% compliance rate), pH drift ≤0.05pH/month;
Cost: DAW2407 saves 80% of maintenance time and 95% of reagent costs; DAW2507's service life extended to 2 years;
Safety: 3 alarms were resolved within 1 second each, and 9 months of data are traceable.
