DB510F1T Duct-Mounted Temperature & Humidity Senso
Accurate Duct-Mounted Sensing for Stable Comfort and Energy Efficiency
In large commercial complexes, HVAC systems must maintain precise temperature and humidity control across diverse zones such as retail areas, offices, and dining spaces—each with different environmental demands. Sensor accuracy, response speed, and installation position are critical to overall system performance.
In an 80,000 m² commercial complex, the DB5101F1T duct-mounted temperature and humidity sensor was deployed to replace conventional sensors with slow response and limited accuracy. Previously, high summer humidity in dining areas and temperature fluctuations of up to ±2 °C in retail zones led to poor comfort and 12% excess energy consumption.
Designed specifically for HVAC applications, the DB5101F1T delivers ±2.0% RH humidity accuracy and ±0.2 °C temperature accuracy, with a wide operating range of 0–100% RH and –40 to +120 °C—ensuring reliable performance across seasonal and high-humidity conditions.
Installed directly in supply ducts with a 400 mm probe, the sensor provides fast response times (≤8 s RH, ≤2 s temperature), enabling real-time HVAC adjustments. Its 4–20 mA and RS485 (Modbus RTU) outputs allow seamless integration with building automation systems for both local control and centralized monitoring.
Following deployment, the project achieved clear results:
Temperature stability improved to ±0.5 °C in office areas
Dining-area humidity stabilized at 65–70% RH, reducing complaints by 68%
HVAC cycling reduced by 40%, lowering annual energy consumption by 11%
Maintenance workload cut by 50%, with extended calibration intervals and zero sensor-related downtime
Conclusion
With high accuracy, fast response, and HVAC-optimized duct installation, the DB5101F1T provides a reliable and scalable solution for large commercial HVAC systems—enhancing comfort, reducing energy use, and simplifying long-term operation.
