Replacement and Repair Valve Gate valve with thrust-resistant loose flanges

The life expectancy of shut-off valves in water and potable water pipelines is generally shorter than that of the piping. It is common practice that a gate valve needs to be replaced once within the lifespan of the pipeline.

On pipe systems laid underground, there are often tensions caused by soil movement. Furthermore the nuts and bolts of flange connections often start to corrode over the years. Therefore the removal of the old valve is often difficult. Mostly it is impossible to install a new gate valve in the gap without adaptions and trouble.

The Düker replacement and repair valve is equipped with loose flanges with integrated sealing on both ends. The flanges are movable within a tolerance range of +/- 6 mm and are connected thrust-resistant to the spigot end of the gate valve. As the flanges are rotatable, slight deviations of the flange arrangement can be compensated.

The shut-off valve can also be used to replace dismantling joints without any modification.

The Düker replacement and repair valve as per EN 1074 made of ductile cast iron is available in the nominal dimensions DN 80 up to DN 200, for potable and raw water up to an operating pressure of 16 bar and a temperature of +60°C. Type 4004 with face-to-face length as per EN 558-1 basic series 15, type 2004 with face-to-face length as per basic series 14.

The standard coating for this gate valve is high-quality Düker etec enamel inside and out.
