HNBR sleeves for the food industry

Valves in food processing plants are often exposed to aggressive process conditions. Since CIP and SIP processes are common in these plants, the seals must be able to withstand aggressive media and higher temperatures in some cases. Therefore EBRO ARMATUREN now offers an FDA compliant hydrogenated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (HNBR). The elastomer is suitable for mineral oils and has been proven to have very good wear behaviour as well as very good resistance to weathering and ozone. Due to the hydration of NBR, applications up to a maximum of 130°C are now covered. The HNBR is available for all soft-seated, centric EBRO valves from DN 25 - DN 1200 and for operating pressures up to a maximum of 16 bar. In addition to HNBR, the product range includes valves with various white and black sleeves, optionally FDA-compliant and according to EG 1935 for use in contact with food.
