EIDE offers a wide range of electromagnetic toothed clutches for applications where high torque is required but not much space is available.
EIDE’s electromagnetically operated, toothed clutches provide high torque transmission for its size. Teeth mechanism does not allow any sliding, making it necessary to select the appropriate safety factor. The connection must be made when it is stopped, there is no movement or running at low speed. The clutch can be disengaged at any speed.
Electromagntic toothed clutches can provide up to three times more torque than a friction clutch for the same outside diameter. EIDE’s toothed clutches provide competitive advantages for the key markets where there is small space, such as robitic, automation, packaging, printing and medical markets.
