CAN-Repeater CRep Opto/M12

Galvanic decoupled CAN-repeater with increased fire protection

CRep Opto/M12 by EMS Dr. Thomas Wünsche is designed as galvanic decoupling CAN-repeater for environments with increased fire protection requirements such as communication in railway systems. The device’s low weight and the design in an aluminum housing suitable for DIN rails with M12 connectors enable its use in applications with EN45545 requirements. Like all EMS Dr. Thomas Wünsche CAN-repeaters it transfers CAN-messages in a protocol-transparent manner. This secures restrain of CAN-typical error protection. Nodes sending permanent dominant bus signals are decoupled from the CAN-network by the extended error suppression implemented in CRep Opto/M12. The use of CRep Opto/M12 enables a flexible design of the network topology. This usually leads to a reduction in installation costs, if a favorable network structure for the application is chosen.
