7S Series - New modular relays with forcibly guided contacts for safety applications up to SIL 3

Modular relays with forcibly guided contacts, primary components for safety operations

The Type 7S.43 and 7S.63 modular relays with forcibly guided contacts are used for safety applications up to SIL 3. The SIL (Safety Integrity Level) relates to the risk reduction factor deemed necessary for the safe operation of an overall system – and is therefore the key element in quantifying the contribution to safety made by using a safety relay. The SIL 3 level is evaluated according to EN61508 for functional safety applications in compliance with EN62061 up to SIL 3 and according to IEC 13849-1 up to PL “e”.

The use of cadmium-free contacts within these relays is a confirmation of Finder's respect and commitment to environmental issues.

The Finder relays within these safety modules are used for varied safety applications such as, automation controls, safety applications for elevators or lifts, for bottling plants, packaging and woodworking machines. They have also been used for safety applications for milk processing machines, textile machines, automated warehouses, control panels and distribution boards, escalators, traffic light controls, cranes, labelling machines and machines for the confectionery industry, for paper processing machines, for Galvanic treatment machines and printing machines, for drilling machines, cleaners and sanders, for industrial robots and for automatic car washing systems.
