Finder proudly introduces its new 68 Series 100A power relay

Designed primarily for incorporating within electric vehicle charging stations, it is equally adept in other applications where high switching power is required

Finder’s new 68 Series power relay has arrived; a relay capable of addressing multiple market needs but particularly suited for installation within EV charging stations and other applications where high switching power is a necessity.

This new Finder power relay together with the new Finder 7M Series of Smart energy meters are perfect additions to a range of electric and electronic devices ideally suited for use in the green energy sector, in particular, the production and distribution of energy in the context of sustainable mobility (EV charging).

This new 100 A 68 Series power relay can be used, for example, in charging stations up to 55 kW, in the production of inverters, for the control of automation systems for the disabled, for applications within pump control panels, for emergency power generators and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and inside automation control panels such as for the control of heavy duty elevators and similar.

Finder Type 68.22 – Power levels never seen before in this style of relay

Designed and built entirely in Italy, the Finder Type 68.22 power relay is intended for mounting and connecting via a printed circuit board and is equipped with 2 NO 100 A rated contacts, with a nominal AC1 load of 40000 VA.

This is a power level not seen before within a single relay. And, by working just two relays in tandem, the full switching of a three-phase + neutral load up to 100 A can be achieved – all with a considerable saving of PCB space compared to earlier technologies.

Characterized by a modern, minimal and linear design - thanks to the collaboration with the Milanese design studio Fossati | Minelli – the new Finder relay features compact size, with a minimal footprint.

Type 68.22-4300. Other characteristics:

• Distance between open contacts 3.6 mm, in compliance with VDE 0126-1-1 and EN 62109-1, EN 62109-2 regulations

• Equipped with DC coil, with 700 mW holding power

• Reinforced insulation between the coil and the contacts

• Can be used in ambient temperatures as high as 85 ° C

• Meets the requirements of the EN 60335-1 Standard relating to resistance to heat and fire (GWIT 775 ° C and GWFI 850 ° C)

• Cadmium-free contacts
