Finder, safety solutions with the 7S Series guided contact relays
The 7S Series are devices designed to create automation that complies with the main safety directives.
Within the Finder product range, relays with guided contacts from the 7S Series are used in safety applications where it is necessary to initiate emergency stops by killing the supply, activation of circuits or switching of particularly heavy loads.
From machine tools to elevator systems, from railway applications (with specific versions certified for fire and fumes) to PLC expansion modules, the Finder 7S Series is compliant with safety applications according to the Machinery Directive and certified according to EN-61508, and includes modular multi-contact relays (2, 3, 4 or 6 guided contacts, depending on configuration) for SIL2 / SIL3 safety applications.
Finder 7S Series Relays, Benifits
Designed to act as an interface between systems with different power supply voltages and characterized by extreme reliability. They are versatile and adaptable in providing the functions necessary to create automation that compies with the main safety directives.
The modularity of the 7S Series Finder relays ensures reliability for both, safety systems requiring the operation of heavy loads (which therefore can quickly wear-out the contacts of a PLC or safety module) as well as for systems requiring the control of low current loads.
Specifically, the structure with Type A forced-guided contacts, which characterise this type of device, allows the detection and diagnosis of a fault or malfunction thus ensuring the safety of the machine operator. They are equipped with screw or screwless terminals, indication LEDs and are suitable for mounting on 35mm rail (EN 60715).
New Type 7S.16 / 36 relays for multiple load management
Recently Finder has launched on the market new versions of Type 7S.16 and 7S.36, relays with modular guided contacts suitable for safety applications up to SIL2.
The new 6-contact configuration - 5 NO contacts + 1 NC contact - is added to the previous version with 4 NO + 2 NC contacts.
