Finder introduces OPTA CODESYS
The OPTA range has been expanded with the introduction of a new model based on CODESYS, the world's first independent automation software development environment for PLCs.
Finder's OPTA Programmable Logic Relay range now includes OPTA CODESYS®, compatible with the world's first independent development environment for PLCs, designed for programming using the IEC 61131-3 international industrial standard.
Compliance with this international standard makes CODESYS® (COntroller DEvelopment SYStem) a popular software development environment in the field of industrial automation, as it can be used with a wide range of PLCs, and, in addition to programming, offers tools for simulation, hardware configuration, visualization and project management.
Compatibility with CODESYS® makes OPTA a device with a high level of interoperability, able to be used with languages such as IL, ST, LD, FBD and SFC. It’s a single development environment where programming, testing and debugging can be done with the goal of creating multiple applications in industrial, OEM and building automation sectors.
This new device–coming soon–will have eight analog or digital inputs and four 10 A relay outputs. It will have USB Type C connectivity, and an RJ45 port, an RS485 port and an internal Wi-Fi module. It will also include three expansion modules exclusively for the CODESYS® environment. It’s a device that will complement the existing range of Finder PLRs created in collaboration with Arduino PRO, which currently consists of three models, all with expandable inputs and outputs:
- OPTA LITE Type 8A.04.9.024.8300
- OPTA PLUS Type 8A.04.9.024.8310
- OPTA ADVANCED Type 8A.04.9.024.8320
