FPI Contributed to Water Environment Monitoring during Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games
2022 Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou,China
In preparation for the upcoming Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment organized an environmental quality assurance drill in Hangzhou. More than 80 participants attended this event. The objective was to strengthen the teamwork and operational capabilities of teams during unexpected environmental emergencies. After predicting related environmental emergency event that may appear,all supporters simulated algae and water quality emergency activities around important venues during the Asian Games.
As the pioneering instrument manufacturer and mature water quality monitoring solution provider, FPI was invited to participate to ensure the water quality around Hangzhou, where Asian Gamed held, and the vicinity of the competition venues. In an effort to deal with various emergency, we dispatched our highly skilled emergency monitoring team equipped with a range of on-site monitoring devices, including portable GC-MS analyzers, fully automated flow injection analyzers, live fluorescent algae analyzers, and mobile water environment monitoring vehicles, for monitoring conventional water factors and VOCs factors. The measurement of the algae density and algae classification was also one part of initiative.
Throughout the drill, we showcased our strong expertise and capabilities as a leading force in the field of environmental monitoring. With extensive experience in on-site emergency monitoring and advanced instruments, our team promptly responded to unexpected pollution incidents, successfully completed the blind sample assessment for benzene compounds and ammonia nitrogen in water quality.
Beside, analyzed and traced the contamination data. At first, our team detected water pollution at a particular location. Subsequently, with the help of water quality monitoring stations set up along the river, we quickly pinpointed the location of the pollution. Utilizing the direction of the pollution’s origin, precise determination of the entity causing the water pollution was achieved.
During the process of identifying the source of pollution, real-time monitoring data was shared with the data center of the environmental monitoring agency through data transmission module. Once the entity responsible for the pollution was located, personnel from the environmental law enforcement department could take immediate action, ensuring accurate and timely control measures were implemented. This data was succeed as strong support for emergency treatment plans and our outstanding performance earned their high recognition from monitoring stations at various districts and the municipal level.
