THE "ATEX" CERTIFIED LEVEL SWITCH

F.lli Giacomello srl has in its family of products the IEG-IEXD, the ATEX certified level switch which has been improved in its structure to be even more flexible and safe.

The company is proud to bring to the market a similar product, marked with the ATEX certificate, issued by the prestigious national and international body TUV and therefore synonymous with guarantee and quality.

In fact, the IEXD level switches are built in compliance with the ATEX directive (2014/34 / EU) to be used in the control of different levels of a liquid inside a generic tank placed in an environment where a explosive atmosphere, consisting of a mixture with air or flammable substances in the form of gas, vapors or mists (zone 0 - ref. EN 60079-10).

The IEXD level switches are marked II 1/2 G Ex d II C T6.

The level switches are based on the interaction between a magnetic field and a reed contact, with a single contact for each liquid level to be monitored: when the float of the level switch in its stroke meets the reed contact, incorporated in the tube at the predetermined point, the contact , solicited by the magnet housed in the float, it closes, allowing for example the passage of electric current that can be used to remotely send a differently configurable alarm signal.

Switching takes place without direct contact between the reed and the liquid.

These level switches allow you to house a bimetallic thermostat to discreetly or continuously monitor the temperature reached by the liquid inside the tank.

Summarizing therefore the numerous advantages:

- Flexibility in connections (starting from 1 "Gas)

- Up to 5 control points

- Possibility to insert a thermostat or a PT100

- Contacts S.P.S.T or S.P.D.T.
