F.lli Giacomello expands its range with the new IEG-INOX-DN_-PN_ level indicator

A new AISI 316 stainless steel electromagnetic solution, configurable with up to three control points and with the option of integrating temperature monitoring

onitoring a liquid level does not always simply mean knowing whether a tank is full or empty. In many industrial applications, it is necessary to detect multiple thresholds, monitor temperature and use a device that can be configured according to the specific characteristics of the system.
This is the need behind IEG-INOX-DN_-PN_, the new electromagnetic level indicator from F.lli Giacomello, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of liquid level indicators.
The new model expands the company's range of immersion level indicators with a solution made of AISI 316 stainless steel, featuring a flanged connection according to UNI EN 1092-1, type 05A or 05B, and available in different configurations as specified in the ordering data sheet.
Up to three control points
The operation of IEG-INOX-DN_-PN_ is based on the interaction between the float and the Reed switches positioned at predetermined control points.
As the float moves along the tube and reaches a control point, the magnet housed inside it activates the Reed switch, causing the contact to open or close. The resulting signal can be transmitted remotely, providing information on the liquid level status inside the tank.
The device can be configured with one, two or three control points, with SPST or SPDT contacts, allowing different liquid level thresholds to be managed within the same tank.
Level and temperature monitoring in a single device
Liquid level monitoring can also be combined with temperature monitoring.
IEG-INOX-DN_-PN_ can be configured with a PT100 sensor to detect temperature variations, or with a thermostat, which switches when the preset temperature is reached.
This makes it possible to integrate the monitoring of two important parameters for managing the fluid contained in a tank within a single device: level and temperature.
A range of configurations for different application requirements
The new indicator is available with flanges from DN 10 to DN 100 and in the pressure ratings specified in the technical documentation, ranging from PN6 to PN40, depending on the selected configuration.
Dimension A can range from 110 to 3,500 mm, further extending the possibilities for using the device on tanks with different dimensional characteristics.
The number and type of control points, electrical connection, float and temperature detection system can be selected from the different configurations specified in the ordering data sheet.
