One Blower, Two to Four Tanks
X740-AQ Aeration for Recirculating Aquaculture
In a recirculating aquaculture system, biofilter aeration has to do two jobs at once: feed oxygen to the nitrifying biofilm that removes ammonia, and keep the carrier media moving so the bed stays mixed. The Galex Axion One X740-AQ does both, and a single unit can serve two to four tanks.
Pressure margin that protects the duty
The X740-AQ is rated at 400 mbar, and its operating envelope runs higher. That margin works two ways: it lets the blower settle in its efficient zone at the normal duty point rather than being pushed to an extreme, and it absorbs the extra head that comes with a rising water level or fouling diffusers. The Axion One holds flow as backpressure climbs - no stall, no flow decay - so aeration stays stable through a production cycle.
Clean air, clean water
The X7 is 100 percent oil-free, with the bearing chamber isolated from the air path, so no lubricating contaminant is carried into the water. In a RAS that matters directly: the nitrifying biofilm and the stock both depend on an air supply that adds nothing to the water.
One machine, several tanks
A single X740-AQ feeds two to four tanks through a branched air main. Tanks can be brought in or out and output adjusted as biomass and feeding change, without adding a second machine. An integrated variable-frequency drive takes dissolved-oxygen feedback over Modbus RTU from the unit's own controller, so air follows demand automatically.
Stainless steel enclosure, IP55, Class H insulation, over 70 percent wire-to-air efficiency, about 26.8 kg and 0.1 m² of floor space. QuickDraw F9 grade filtration.
Galex supplies the Axion One AQ range for oxygenation, biofilters, feeding systems and pond aeration.
