The great prestige project of the construction industry

Not without GEDA!

A pioneering building with a floor area of 103 000 m² in Oslo is currently one of the “largest prestige projects of the construction industry”. Its completion is scheduled for 2025, when companies from the construction and property industry will move in and create a network of innovative and sustainable solutions for the future.

Challenge in the interior: taking down the scaffolding

The 15 000 cubic metre HAKI scaffolding, which was erected in the interior of the building, is one of the highlights at the construction site. It has been used for some time for daily construction tasks and all of the interior work. Now, with the work having progressed, this enormous scaffolding structure is being taken down. But this process requires the right equipment in order to be safe, efficient and ergonomic. The scaffolding hire company Xervon Norway uses the support from its partner Materialhuset for this.

Longstanding partnership paired with the latest innovations

Materialhuset has been a trusted partner of GEDA for many years. As an authorised service partner, the company looks after the Norwegian customers in the areas of hoist hire and servicing, in close cooperation with GEDA. This partnership is a perfect example of the close cooperation and the joint commitment to quality and customer focus – principles that are firmly anchored in the GEDA philosophy.

For removing the scaffolding, the property developer chose the latest scaffolding hoist from GEDA – the GEDA 200 Z Comfort. This hoist sets new standards in the industry and was developed specifically for the requirements of scaffolding work. The GEDA 200 Z Comfort combines the proven technology of the GEDA 200 Z with a number of new features that make the hoist even more efficient and easier to use. The quick-release elements for the ladder sections enable rapid installation and easy handling, while optional scaffolding spindle holders facilitate alignment of the base unit – even on unpaved or uneven surfaces. Thanks to it compact size and easy maintenance, the hoist requires only little space at the construction site and impresses with its low running costs.

Safe, ergonomic and efficient: properties of the GEDA 200 Z Comfort

With a load capacity of up to 200 kg and a maximum transport height of 35 m, the GEDA 200 Z Comfort is the ideal solution for transporting heavy scaffolding materials. The construction site in Oslo with a required transport height of 25 m poses no challenge for the GEDA 200 Z Comfort. The optimised loading and unloading is a special highlight: The optional barrier system and the standard sliding platform eliminate dangerous gaps between the platform and the scaffolding. The 1.2 m wide platform side enables easy unloading of bulky materials, all without landing level doors. With the GEDA radio remote control, the GEDA 200 Z Comfort is fully compatible with the known GEDA accessories, making the hoist even safer and more flexible.

In summary: an indispensable tool

The GEDA 200 Z Comfort is the ideal helper for taking down the huge scaffolding in this prestigious construction project. Particular during the current skills shortage, efficient and ergonomic work equipment is crucial for ensuring health and safety while increasing the attractiveness for potential employees. The GEDA 200 Z Comfort sets new standards in this field and should become a standard in the industry as an indispensable tool.

More powerful helpers

GEDA from Asbach-Bäumenheim in Bavaria supports the implementation of this exceptional project with an important solution for transporting material and passengers on the outside of the building. Two GEDA Multilift P18 hoists were installed – powerful helpers that provide reliable vertical transport for construction sites of this magnitude.
