4 GELEC gensets installed in the largest temporary military camp for the games

Problem:

Installation of 4 generator sets at an Olympic Games 2024 site.

Continuity of operations is crucial for an event on the scale of the Olympic & Paralympic Games. That's why GELEC Energy has committed to ensuring an uninterrupted power supply for Paris 2024, by installing four emergency gensets at the largest temporary military camp.

This preventive measure ensures that, in the event of a power cut, the camp's vital infrastructure - such as communication systems, lighting and safety equipment - remains operational via an integrated source inverter system. The initiative aims not only to guarantee the safety of athletes and staff, but also to maintain the camp's logistical and operational efficiency.

Solution:

We installed three 250 kVA TIGER-250YC and one 440 kVA LION-440 generator set from GELEC Energy. These generators benefit from the NFE 37-312 safety option.
