Compact solution for small devices and the medical sector: Schlegel presents a new emergency-stop

In dangerous situations emergency-stops can protect against serious injuries or even save life. Schlegel products are worldwide known for its mechanical robustness, excellent functionality, safety as well as attractive design. The new emergency-stop is exactly designed according to the requirements on the market – in the preliminary Schlegel carried through a market research which confirmed the demand. „Thus, we are sure that our new emergency-stop will be of great interest for our customers and for the market“, says Kurt Blank, head of the R&D at Schlegel as to the expectations. The new solution of the company Schlegel convices by the sophisticated, shapely design and the compact height of 20.5 mm and the mounting diameter of 16.2 mm. „This makes our emergency-stop perfectly fitting to modern small devices like hand-helds and panels, but also to different medical devices. As an example, they are also an important safety feature on each treadmill“, explains Blank. With regard to the functional safety there are of course not at all any compromises with the compact emergency-stop. Beside the foolproof feature the switching position indicator is clearly signalising whether the emergency-stop is activated or not.

The emergency-stop is available in different versions - also with illumination option. The connection is provided by faston terminals 2.8 x 0.5. The actuator complies to DIN EN ISO 13850 / DIN EN 60947-5-5 and is designed for a degree of protection IP65 / IP67 as well as for a rated operating voltage of 35 V.
