New Gimatic gripping system

The Gimatic Vacuum Division is ready to presents its latest product: Vacuum Foam Grippers.

This new gripping system is modular and flexible and it’s perfect for different sectors, like: glass, wood, cardboard and metal sheet. It’s Ideal for handling cardboard boxes, wooden panels, cans, jars and many other products with different shapes and geometries.

The VACUUM FOAM GRIPPER FGS-120 are available in two versions:

- With integrated self-closing valves.

- With calibrated holes.

The version with self-closing valves is ideal in applications where objects with different sizes/shapes need to be handled. It allows the user to work with smaller vacuum pumps, reducing consumption while maintaining a high level of vacuum, even when most of the gripper surface area is not engaged. These grippers are designed to hold metal balls. The vacuum flow lifts the sphere which closes the hole, without creating leaks.

The version with calibrated holes is ideal in applications where objects with specific shapes and weights with a sealed surface (glass, sheet metal) need to be handled. It’s suitable for working in any orientation (parallel or perpendicular to the gripping surface). It is used when it is not possible to use self-closing valves (vertical handling) and when the foam gripper covers about 90% of the gripping surface to be handled.

Foam Grippers are available with different drilling steps and different lengths, according to the needs and requirements. Available in the version equipped with technical foam or in the version with VG.IS polyurethane suction cups.
