D5016 HART Current Repeater for Hazardous Areas

D5016 by GM International is a SIL 3 HART current repeater and signal splitter for active 2-wire transmitters in Zone 2 / Div. 2 industrial applications.

The D5016 HART current repeater by GM International is designed to interface active 2-wire transmitters installed in hazardous areas with control and monitoring systems located in the safe area. This intrinsically safe module ensures accurate current repetition while maintaining full HART signal transparency, enabling reliable digital communication for advanced diagnostics and asset management.
The D5016 also operates as a HART signal splitter, allowing the input current loop and HART communication to be simultaneously available on both outputs without signal loss. This makes the module particularly suitable for process automation architectures requiring signal duplication, redundancy, and continuous plant monitoring.
Available in single or double channel versions and in sink or source configurations (DK, DS, SK, SS), the D5016 provides maximum flexibility for system designers. The unit is suitable for installation in Zone 2 / Div. 2 hazardous locations and offers SIL 3 capability, 2.5 kV isolation, G3 conformal coating, and an extended operating temperature range from –40 to +70 °C.
