Grupel 208kVA gensets for Tortuga Lodge, Costa Rica
Generators for Touristic infrastructures
With the help of a local dealer, Grupel has supplied an Industrial Range genset to aid the Tortuga Lodge, a touristic resort in Limonero, Costa Rica. Our partner has sold and installed the generator.
Over the course of time, Grupel has supplied Energy solutions for hotels and other touristic units, around the world, helping these businesses avoid losses due to power cuts or outages.
The Tortuga Lodge is a demanding installation, as it is composed of sixteen suites, one villa, restaurant and leisure areas, laundry room, a swimming pool, as well as AC and other systems. Additionally, it is located in an area unreachable by car, sitting by a riverbank. Basically, a remote location, therefore, subject to more power failures and less agile troubleshooting.
Our project, then, consists of a 208kVA genset, with Grupel engine, alternator and controller, that operates in standby mode, going into action in case of grid failure. It is a robust generator, with anti-corrosion treatment and non-welded canopy, ideal for avoiding oxidation and more resistant to humidity and higher temperatures.
