Cool under pressure

HBE´s ACM oil air cooler for mo-bile applications

The ACM oil air cooler from HBE is used to regulate the temperature of hydraulic oil in systems that are powered solely by a 12- or 24-volt onboard power supply.

This includes hydraulic auxiliary functions as required in mobile cranes, excavators or harvesters. In these applications, high loads continuously generate heat which, if cooling is insufficient, can lead to changes in viscosity and increased wear of system components. The cooler operates through direct heat exchange between the hydraulic fluid and the surrounding air. Its optimised cooling fins ensure effective dissipation of excess heat. The robust design ensures high system stability and allows easy integration into existing hydraulic systems.

The coolers are available from stock in various sizes, covering a wide range of flow capacities and cooling performance. An internal bypass valve protects the cooler from potential pressure spikes. Optional thermostatic switches with different switching points support the user in regulating the cooling process and ensure rapid response to temperature peaks. In this way, the entire cooling process contributes to a longer service life of both the hydraulic fluid and the system components. The risk of unplanned downtime due to overheating is therefore reduced.
