Congratulations to the second postdoc of Hengfengtai Postdoctoral Workstation for successfully passing the mid-term assessment

On December 13, Hengfengtai held a mid-term examination meeting of postdoctoral workstation, and Shen Xi, a postdoctoral fellow jointly trained by Hengfengtai and Jiangsu University, made a project report on the theme of "solid-liquid two-phase flow mechanism and optimal design of key mixing equipment in the production chain of ternary precursor".

As the second postdoc of the workstation, Shen Xi entered the station in July 2022 and cooperated with the company to carry out the project research on the solid-liquid two-phase flow mechanism and Optimal design of Key mixing equipment in the production chain of ternary precursor.Through more than one year's efforts, Dr. Shen Xi sorted out and analyzed the research status at home and abroad, got familiar with the relevant theoretical knowledge, and completed the establishment of the mixing equipment model, and carried out numerical calculation and analysis; In addition, through discussion and design of experimental models, PIV and other test benches are gradually built. In the report, he elaborated on the research background and purpose of the project, the research status and analysis, the research content and progress, and the next research plan.According to reports, this project aims at the amplification problem of key stirring equipment in the production chain of ternary precursor, and reveals the mechanism of the action of unsteady flow characteristics in the agitator on its stirring performance from the perspective of cyclic vortex evolution and solid particle flow characteristics. At the same time, based on geometric similarity, the relationship between the size reduction of key equipment and equipment performance was explored, and an effective scale-up theoretical system for key mixing equipment in the production chain of terpolymer precursor was studied and established, providing theoretical basis and technical support for the research and development of high-performance mixing equipment for enterprises.After the presentation, Professor Xiang Jiawei raised questions from the perspective of dynamics, and Dr. Shen Xi gave professional answers and analysis. Professor Zhang Desheng suggested that Dr. Shen Xi should strengthen communication with the enterprise engineers, conduct in-depth research on the project process according to the needs of the enterprise, further optimize the project content, and strive to play a better guiding role in the development of the enterprise.Finally, the members of the evaluation committee believed that Dr. Shen Xi's research topic originated from engineering practice, and the research carried out by the topic belongs to the forefront of the discipline, with substantial content, reasonable methods, clear focus and innovative results, and has important theoretical significance and engineering application value.After voting, the members of the judging committee unanimously approved Dr. Shen Xi's midterm defense and agreed to carry out the next stage of research.
