KNTECH Voice Communication System for Hong Kong Tsing Sha Control Area

KNTECH supplied a customized PABX voice communication system for Hong Kong Route 8’s Tsing Sha Control Area, supporting reliable coordination across tunnels, highways, bridges, public address, radio, and emergency systems.

Hong Kong – KNTECH provided a mission-critical voice communication system for the Tsing Sha Control Area, part of Hong Kong Route 8, an arterial highway linking Tai Wai in Sha Tin District with Chek Lap Kok in the Islands District.

Route 8 extends approximately 33.1 km and includes key infrastructure such as Eagles Peak Tunnel, Sha Tin Ridge Tunnel, Tai Wai Tunnel, Lantau Link, Nam Wan Tunnel, Tsing Ma Bridge, Kap Shui Mun Bridge and Tsing Sha Highway.

For this demanding government infrastructure project, KNTECH delivered a customized PABX communication solution designed to interface with multiple operational systems, including TCSS, public address, radio communication, emergency interfaces and dedicated hotline functions.

The system was engineered to support customized dialing rules, operating procedures, business workflows and specific bypass/lifeline requirements, ensuring stable and efficient voice communication for highway and tunnel operations.

KNTECH’s solution met the project requirements and provided optimized functions that improved operational efficiency for the end user.
