Hydrolock ACCT continuous rotary can sterilizer

Hydrolock , one of the few specialist in continuous retorting has recently manufactured and delivered a new machine with increased flexibility for cans.

The machine is capable of processing Cans with diameters 73 mm, up to Diameter 153 mm, using a rotary process for better agitation. The range of processed products is extremely wide (from 200g to 5 Kg per can) with throughput from 100 to 700 cpm depending on can sizes.

The end user was interested in replacing all its batch retorts, by one single machine, in order to take the benefits of the continuous retort for all its cans sizes, and also to be able to remove the old batch retors and save floor space inside the plant.

Hydrolock design team decided to adapt the design of the standard machine, in order to address this customer request.

The machine has been performing its first season , using the different formats ( 230g , 400g, 1Kg, 3Kg).

Due to “high temperature processing” combined with thin wall cans, the machine is also equipped with over pressure for the large diameter cans.

This project is a success, it has shown how the Hydrolock company was able to customize its standard products to the specific need of one customer.
