In some applications – fitting bits and pieces together with a servo press is mandatory due to the convenience of position and force control sensors which are built inside the mechanical components to ensure secure and proper joining of products.

The next important part is software, a system software controlling these mechanical components to achieve reproduceable processes -for sustainable productions, and applied software monitoring outputting the sensor results gathered during production processes (either to a Database, local storage or as a visual operator feedback to a monitor).

A challenging criteria comes in play, when mechanical components, ball screws, tools wear out and suddenly affects apply which weren't there at the beginning. Perhaps even quality issues apply to the materials supplied by 3rd parties affect your production, and therefore to overcome such things the traceability of the sensors providing continuous data of motion and load, as well as smart software judgements keep track and provide quality data of individual pressing stages, at all times (as long as a tool is engaged with the product).

In many cases tact times are pushed to the max, not allowing slightest changes of a process, as it immediately takes affect on the output – or even has a impact on the product quality by eventually overshooting by load – since accelerations, decelerations, ratios or both would require time intensive testing –

With our latest system software, we have updated the functions of our JP5 Series Servo press with a “Smart Load Stop” that uses a algorithm to avoid load overshot when regular settings aren’t´ sufficient for your application.
