The Application of SDI Signal Slip Ring in Photography Equipment

In the era when everyone has access to information dissemination channels, each person has a channel for publishing video or textual information, which has given rise to many industries and job opportunities, and has also driven the development of many industries. For example, in the early stages of filming, a lot of imaging equipment was needed, and some of the larger equipment required additional stabilizing functions, such as handheld gimbals, drones, and photography arms, to increase stability and range of motion. After using these auxiliary equipment, the camera can capture more footage. The SDI high-definition video signal slip ring may be equipped on these auxiliary devices.

As a veteran slip ring manufacturer with over 20 years of industry experience, JINPAT has rich experience in product development and has provided solutions for over 10,000 types of signal and energy rotary transmission to global customers. Many of these solutions are specifically developed for high-definition video signal transmission. Among the slip rings developed by JINPAT that can transmit high-definition video signals, some use HDMI or DP computer high-definition video signals for transmission. These types of high-definition video signals require dedicated cables for transmission, and apart from the difficulty of development, the manufacturing cost is also high.

Compared to HDMI and DP high-definition video signals that require corresponding cables, SDI high-definition video signals use coaxial cables for transmission. The cost of coaxial cables is lower than that of HDMI and DP cables, and the difficulty of impedance matching is also relatively simple compared to the use of the first two types of cables. Therefore, many of the high-definition video signal slip rings developed by JINPAT are SDI signal slip rings. Moreover, many of the signals output by photographic equipment can be transmitted directly through coaxial cables, so the adaptability of SDI signal slip rings is relatively strong.

So, what are some representative products of JINPAT's SDI signal slip rings developed for photographic auxiliary equipment? First, let's look at the product developed by JINPAT for professional stabilizers, which has the model number LPC-24A-0210-4S-HDO1. This product uses the standard slip ring LPC-24A's mold to develop, integrates two 10A power rings, 4 other signal rings, and 1 channel for transmitting 1080P@60Hz 3G-SDI high-definition video signals.

In addition to stabilizers, there are also SDI high-definition video signal slip rings on photography arms. JINPAT relatively typical products developed for this are the LPM-30B-24S-HD01 and LPM-06A-HD01. The video transmission of these two products is slightly lower and can only transmit 1080P@30Hz video signals, which means that the signals transmitted by these slip rings are HD-SDI format high-definition video signals.
