Application of High-Speed Slip Rings in Medical Devices

Lesion detection and bioanalytical instruments are essential equipment in various departments of hospitals.

Within these devices, slip rings are commonly used components. For instance, in certain instruments used for detection, high-speed centrifugal rotating parts are integrated to achieve specific states of the tested substances and obtain corresponding detection results. Therefore, high-speed slip rings are required for such medical devices. JINPAT offers a variety of high-speed slip rings suitable for medical devices.

Let's start with the LPT012B-01S, a compact through-hole high-speed slip ring. This model is developed based on the JINPAT high-speed standard slip ring, LPT012B-0602. It is designed with a maximum speed of 2000rpm and utilizes RG178 coaxial cable for video signal transmission. By replacing the cable with RF coaxial cable, it can also transmit pulse signals. Due to the significant market demand for pulse signals, JINPAT not only provides the LPT012B as a small hollow shaft high-speed slip ring but also developed the LPM-YS and LPC-YS series of high-speed standard slip rings.

These slip ring models feature a metal housing, a design speed of 1000rpm, and a design lifespan of up to 50 million rpm. They can be customized to support various signals, including pulse signals, and offer higher rotational speeds. This series of products has been optimized to meet the requirements of the medical equipment industry, improving electrical performance such as dynamic resistance fluctuation throughout the entire lifespan.

In addition to custom slip rings for high-speed electrical signals, fiber optic slip rings and optoelectronic integrated slip rings are widely used in medical devices. Fiber optic slip rings mostly employ single-channel fiber optic slip rings, and JINPAT LPFO-01 series submodels have extensive applications in this field. The optoelectronic integrated slip rings used in medical devices typically integrate single-channel fiber optic slip rings. Among them, a typical product is the LPC-1F0203, with an electrical slip ring module supporting a maximum of 2 channels and 3A current, a design speed of up to 8000rpm, a single-channel single-mode fiber optic slip ring for the optical signal module, operating at a wavelength range of 1200nm to 1400nm, featuring ultra-low insertion loss and an extended lifespan. The integrated slip rings have a lifespan exceeding 60 million rpm, and the mechanical noise within 0.5m during slip ring operation is below 69dB.
